Scottish Partnership for Arts and Education

A nonprofit organization

We provide Traditional Scots Song and Tradition Scots Fiddle Workshops free of charge to local schools. The clinician goes into the school and teaches classes for two weeks which culminates in a concert. Here are some important statistics from the workshops: In 2015 SPAE provided four full school residencies, with exposure groups at each school, in Scottish traditional fiddle, one full residency in Scots Song and five full interdisciplinary project residencies entitled CONNECTIONS: ROBERT BURNS AND PAUL LAURENCE DUNBAR - VOICES OF THE PEOPLE. Students participating in the full residencies in target groups totaled 340. Students participating in exposure sessions (concerts) totaled 1735. Adults in concerts totaled 307. Focal Point concerts by our artists brought another 115 audience members. Altogether our total numbers for Fall 2015 were 2497.
