Carried With Love has provided 185 carriers since incorporating in 2017. There are no paid staff and all three board members are social workers and mothers themselves. We continue to grow our partnerships with vendors, organizations that serve children with special needs, and grant makers in the area. In a survey to families that received carriers, 100% responded that the carrier works well for their child's needs, 85% said that the carrier helps the parents do more with their family, 69% said the carrier helps to do more with the other children, and 62% are able to do more in the community as a result of receiving a carrier through Carried With Love.
Carried With Love's mission is to provide baby and toddler carriers for children participating in services through First Steps or Early Childhood Special Education and their caregivers.
Carriers are provided for children from birth through age 5 with a variety of physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities to facilitate bonding, give parents hands-free time at home, and so families may enjoy experiences like baseball games or doctor visits without bulky wheelchairs or strollers.
