CEAM - Children's Education Alliance of Missouri

A nonprofit organization

CEAM has built an effective network of parent-advocates who are equipped to tell their stories, to engage with legislators and the media, and to be social media advocates. Parent-advocates play a critical role in advancing education reform when they take their stories to the state capitol and testify before committees.

CEAM is building a statewide movement for improving education through:
1. Raising awareness through media and live events and outreach.
2. Training parents and other volunteers to be effective advocates for policy change.
3. Facilitating and organizing opportunities for our parents to take action.

CEAM has trained and engaged charter school parents, parents of special learners, low-income families, private school parents and leaders, foster families and others for whom an educational choice is critical and desired. These parent programs are supported by our network of "grasstop" leaders in business, government and education who prioritized education policy change.

CEAM also works in communities, canvassing neighborhoods to share valuable education information about school performance and possible opportunities for families. CEAM organizes policy panels, in-district meetings with state elected officials, movie screenings and other informational programs.

Mission

CEAM's mission is too improve Missouri's K-12 education system by advancing education policies and innovations that ensure all families have the right to choose the education they determine is best for their children.
