The Fire Truck O' Toys was created by 11 year-old Children's Miracle Network Ambassador, Mackenzie Scott
in 2011. As a child, she was diagnosed with a degenerative bone disease called Legg-Calves Perthes. During her
treatment time in both SSM Cardinal Glennon and St. Louis Children's Hospitals, she noticed many children
and families missing the opportunity to share in the joy of the holidays.
It has since been her mission to make sure every hospitalized child and family receives that joy in the form of
the simplest of gifts at Christmas - a toy! Since our founding, we've collected over 50,000 toys!

It is our mission to make sure every hospitalized child and family receives joy in the form of the simplest of gifts all year long - a toy!
We distribute to our local 7 St. Louis hospitals. including SSM Cardinal Glennon, St. Louis Children's Hospital, Shriner's Hospital for Children, Mercy Hospital for Children, Ronald McDonald House, Hawthorn's Childrens Psychiatric Hospital and
Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hosptial.
