Humanitri exists to end cyclical poverty in the St. Louis community. We work toward this lofty goal by walking alongside client families, helping them recognize their worth as they build skills and connect to resources that will lead them to a hope-filled future. Our mission is to help unhoused families achieve stability in a safe and supportive community by providing the skills and resources needed to thrive. Our vision is that all families live with dignity and hope for the future.
Through participation in Humanitri’s Transformational Housing Program utilizing a two-generational approach, families work individually and together to build aptitude in the areas of financial responsibility, household management, and self-care. This holistic program includes temporary housing, a support network of professionals, skill-building, and resource connection. The objective of this approach is to strengthen skills and knowledge in critical areas for both parents and children while fostering collaboration and connection and a stronger family unit. Families referred to Humanitri typically include a single parent, 22-35 years old, with one or more children under the age of eight, and living below the poverty line.
