Our core programs:

CIRCLE OF HOPE is a passionate group of individuals dedicated to funding efforts to prevent suicide through a personal gift to the Missouri Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Through society member support, life-saving strategies and programs will be brought to local Missouri communities so we can one day build a world without suicide.

PREVENTION & EDUCATION: Mental Health First Aid classes, ASIST: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training , Talk Saves Lives, More Than Sad. We teach schools, communities, and workplaces how to prevent suicide.

ADVOCACY & PUBLIC POLICY: Through Advocacy Day and State Capital Day, volunteers encourage Federal and State legislators to take action.

LOSS & HEALING: Healing Conversations Program, International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day (third Saturday in November).

RESEARCH: We are the largest private funder of suicide prevention research. AFSP began as a research organization dedicated to finding the best ways to prevent suicide, and thanks to donors like you we've been able to fund millions in research across multiple scientific disciplines. Much of what is known about suicide comes from studies that AFSP has funded.
