Once upon a time there was a teacher who was good, but wanted to get better.
Her administrator tried to plan professional learning that was best for the building, but it just didn't work for her.
This teacher was innovative and reflective. She knew her lessons could be improved and she wanted to take new risks in the classroom. The only problem? She didn't know where to start. She felt like she was alone in her classroom and had no one to turn to for ideas and inspiration.
But she wasn't the only teacher who felt this way. There were many other teachers who shared this same feeling.
Thus, the concept behind Connected Learning was born and the first Edcamp happened in St. Louis.
Now, Connected Learning strives to continue providing a network and support system for passionate, innovative educators across the Midwest.
