CARE STL was officially established on July 25, 2018. In just a few short years, we have made remarkable progress in fulfilling our mission of creating a compassionate and collaborative community that cares for both people and pets. Since 2018, we have saved a total of 12,935 animals from the City of St. Louis! The Center for Animal Rescue and Enrichment of St. Louis (CARE STL) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization serving as the official No-Kill animal shelter partner for the City of St. Louis Department of Health. CARE STL relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations for all medical care costs and trauma cases of the animals we rescue.
