Halo for Animals

A nonprofit organization

$654 raised by 14 donors

Halo for Animals assists the City of Sullivan and the Sullivan Police Department with the pets in their animal control facility (pound). Halo works to find homes for pets that have not been claimed by their families, covers medical expenses not provided by the city and promotes spaying and neutering.

Thanks to the generous donations from the community and local businesses, Halo is able to offer adopters a certificate to help cover part of the cost of spaying or neutering their newly adopted pet, or in most cases, provide the surgery before adoption. These contributions also help fund improvements to the city facility and provide comfort for the pets while they wait to be reunited with their families or find new homes. This support from animal lovers in the area is what makes it all possible.

Halo volunteers are crucial in connecting potential adopters with pets in need of homes. Not only do they assist with adoption events and handle adoption paperwork outside of animal control hours, but they also spend quality time with the pets, offering them companionship and care while they wait for their forever homes. The strong partnership between Halo and the City of Sullivan enables the organization to make a real difference in the lives of the animals in the city's care.
