$10,000 Goal

Camp Kesem is a free, week-long experience for children that are affected by a parent’s cancer. Kesem is the largest community of its kind, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent's cancer. A child’s Kesem experience, grounded in experiencing the joy of childhood, helps by providing children coping with a parent’s cancer with a community of support with peers who are just like them.

In 2024, Kesem will provide over 10,000 children with free, supportive, life-changing experiences through programs at 116 college chapters in 42 states. Camp Kesem at Washington University in St. Louis is preparing for its fifth transformative summer with campers. We plan to host 35 campers free of charge for a 5-day immersive experience filled with meaningful programs and opportunities to just be a kid.

Mission

5 million children are coping with a parent's cancer diagnosis. Our mission is to support these children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community.
