Magdala House

A nonprofit organization

Organizationally, Magdala has always made itself available to those not served, underserved, or poorly served. Over the years, Magdala expanded its earlier services to include counseling for families, for those struggling with substance abuse and sexual abuse, and for those living with HIV/AIDS.

Currently, we serve and house adults who are intellectually and developmentally disabled. We have expanded to serve the St. Louis homeless population in Jefferson Spaces (Tiny Homes) and have additional programs of day habilitation, substance abuse, and Independent Supported Living (ISL).

Throughout our history, Magdala has always cared for people. Magdala is working hard to restart some of its past programs, improve current programs, and create new ones. Be on the lookout for what is to come of the Magdala Foundation and how we are working to better the St. Louis community!

Giving Activity

Mission

Our Mission is to offer comprehensive services to serve the socially and intellectually disadvantaged by providing multidisciplinary services designed to address their specific needs. In addition to this, we also provide services such as emergency housing, temporary and transitional housing, mental health support, and substance abuse rehabilitation to individuals who are experiencing homelessness and live in the St. Louis metropolitan area. In serving both populations, we aim to assist them in attaining and sustaining their vitality, health, and well-being in a holistic and supportive atmosphere while aiding them in achieving their full potential and preserving their dignity.
