The Parkway Pantry Partners volunteer each month to provide roughly 150 families with shelf-stable food and personal care items. In addition to helping distribute the food once a month, the PPP members organize and pick up food drives, sort and store donations, maintain a monthly inventory of donated items, and organize fundraisers. The PPP engages in these actions to provide physical, organizational, and monetary support to the Parkway Food Pantry. In 2022, the Parkway Food Pantry served 168,625 meals to Parkway School District families.
The mission of the Parkway Pantry Partners is to be a non-profit development arm in support of the Parkway Food Pantry's mission, which is to provide access to food, nutrition, and support to the Parkway community so all students can be capable, curious, and confident learners. Our objectives are to provide volunteer support, help accrue sustainable resources and operations, and work to identify financial resources through community partnerships to assist the Parkway Food Pantry in its mission.
