Project Animal Freedom

A nonprofit organization

Prior to our efforts, just 15 of the 58 major metropolitan areas across the Midwest possessed a local animal rights organization. That's just 1 in 4! If we were to grade our movement by this metric, we would earn a mega-F, falling 34 points short of a D. Meanwhile, the Midwest is home to a disproportionate number of factory farms and slaughterhouses, and we are tied dead last with the South for the percentage of the population that identifies as vegetarian or vegan.

At Project Animal Freedom, we are working to erase this deficit. How? By building a thriving grassroots network that spans from Lincoln, NE, to Toledo, OH. To build this network, we are using a unique community-building strategy that, to the best of knowledge, no other animal rights organization has yet implemented at scale. This strategy gives us power to build community from scratch in cities that previously lacked a local animal rights presence. In Lincoln, NE, for example, we built a community from 0 to over 570 community members in just nine months.

By donating to us, you will enable us to continue our vital chapter-building activities across the Midwest. You will enable us to continue organizing dozens of events each year, from FreedomFest to our Worldwide Vegan Climate March. At Project Animal Freedom, we pride ourselves on being the fastest-growing animal rights organization in the Midwest, and we invite you to join the Project Animal Freedom bandwagon. What are you waiting for?

Mission

At Project Animal Freedom, we are building a fully vegan Midwest by 2056 through a strategic, chapter-based system. We strive to build thriving animal rights communities in major metropolitan areas across the Midwest, and we envision a world where all animals can live safe, happy, and free from needless harm. So far, we have launched six chapters across the Midwest, and we plan to add 3-7 more chapters each year. Please donate today to support our crucial chapter-building activities.
