Welcome to the Community Gospel Choir of St. Louis, where the power of music breaks down barriers. About us:
We're here to harmonize hearts, bridge divides, and create a stronger, more unified community.
We have more than 60 members, and we are proud to be one of the most diverse choirs in St. Louis.
Each year, we host four to five concerts, and we also perform at many community events hosted by others.
All of our concerts are FREE. We believe that our music should be a gift to the community.
It costs approximately $5,000 to produce one of our concerts
We cover the costs of rehearsal space, music licensing, performance venue rental, publicity, audio engineering, videography, photography, our choir director, and musicians.
All of our singers are volunteers.
How do we afford that? Through the generous gifts of organizations, businesses, and individuals like you. Can you help? Gifts of all sizes are appreciated.
Through our spirited interpretation of the rich tradition of African-American Gospel music we are working to:
* Break down racial, cultural and economic barriers in the St. Louis community
* Model community and reconciliation
* Perform to the highest musical standards to further a knowledge and appreciation of traditional spirituals and contemporary Gospel music
* Be a gift to the entire community through regular public concerts and participation in community events
