Covenant House Missouri (CHMO) is a local non-profit serving young people aged 16-24 who are homeless or at risk for homelessness throughout the St. Louis region and beyond. This population often faces challenges that are outside of their control, such as family dysfunction, neglect, insufficient levels of social and emotional support, mental health problems, limited access to resources, and a lack of affordable housing - all of which put them at a higher risk of experiencing homelessness, human trafficking, and other long-term negative physical and behavioral health effects.
Our doors are open 24/7, 365 days a year, and beyond shelter and basic needs, CHMO offers empowering, transformative solutions to guide young people from homelessness to HOPE. Our skilled, trained, and caring staff offer youth unwavering love, utmost respect, and steadfast support. We help youth transform their paths, empowering them to forge productive, independent, and sustainable lives. We stand as a beacon of hope for those who want to break the cycle of homelessness through genuine partnership, commitment, and trust.
CHMO has a 4-Star rating with Charity Navigator and a Platinum rating on GuideStar, along with a 27-year history in St. Louis. We are also very proud of our "alumni" who have ended the cycle of homelessness and are now living independent and fulfilling lives. They include nurses, social workers, IT professionals, property managers, business owners, poets, parents, and more.
