L'Arche St. Louis is an intentional community of people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). We are a state-licensed provider of residential, day, and family supports for adults with I/DD. Our three homes are located in Maplewood and Webster Groves, and our Office and Activities Center is in Brentwood where we are also building our fourth home.
This year, we are excited to announce our EVERYONE BELONGS campaign! Our custom-designed fourth home will open this summer, featuring four main-floor bedrooms and universal design elements that make the home inclusive of everyone. We are also renovating our Activities Center so that we can expand our Family Support program and begin offering overnight respite.
In everything we do, we work to achieve the highest quality of life for our Core Members - those with I/DD who are at the core of our mission. L'Arche St. Louis lives out a model of care that sets an example for other agencies and others in relationship with people with I/DD. We share our mission and model of care with students through educational outreach, internships, and immersion opportunities and welcome the wider St. Louis community into our mission through monthly and seasonal social events.
The mission of L'Arche is to make known the gifts of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, revealed through mutually transforming relationships; to respond to the changing needs of our members, while remaining faithful to our core values; and to engage in our diverse cultures, working together towards a more human society.
