The Megan Meier Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 2007 by Tina Meier after her 13-year-old daughter, Megan, tragically took her own life. Megan experienced cyberbullying after an adult neighbor perpetrated an online hoax posing as a fictional boy on MySpace. The mission of the Megan Meier Foundation is to support and inspire actions to end bullying, cyberbullying, and suicide. We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, feel valued, and find hope despite adversity. We are dedicated to supporting mental wellness for youth and families by connecting them with essential support, resources, and solutions.
To achieve this, the Megan Meier Foundation offers a range of programs and services designed to make a lasting impact. Since 2008, more than 685,000 students, parents, and educators have been touched by our mission.
