Out of grief has grown a mighty oak, branches outstretched, providing protection and power, and enduring. With one in every 100 babies born in the U.S. with a congenital heart defect we are motivated to continue to grow and seek out new ways to serve. At the same time, we are committed to retaining our grassroots values, considering every request, following our hearts and giving generously, while being responsible stewards of the resources entrusted to us.

Inspired by the life and legacy of Oakes Ortyl, Mighty Oakes Heart Foundation (MOHF)(https://www.mightyoakes.org/) has been dedicated to families of children with CHD since 2011. Through financial and emotional support, MOHF stands beside heart families and their young warriors as they seek to have hope through uncertainty, find peace and beauty in the battle and choose love over fear. Together, we choose to be mighty.

Mission

Our vision at Mighty Oakes Heart Foundation is that families facing congenital heart defects have the freedom to be a family and have hope amidst the chaos. We are striving to make this a reality by offering financial and emotional support to heart families across the country, based on their individual needs and without limits.
