One life event – an unexpected bill, a job loss, or a health crisis can lead to the stress of choosing between food and other basic necessities. Food should not be an impossible choice.

Approximately 400,000 of our neighbors (1 in 7 individuals and 1 in 6 children) in the metro St. Louis region are experiencing food insecurity.

Everyone deserves access to food and the promise of a healthy diet which is why the St. Louis Area Foodbank is committed to ensuring fair access to the foods and resources our neighbors need to thrive. $0.96 of every dollar that you give to the St. Louis Area Foodbank goes directly to feeding our community. 

ABOUT US:

The St. Louis Area Foodbank has been serving the community for 50 years, helping to alleviate hunger and provide critical resources to individuals and families in need. Serving 26 counties across eastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois, the Foodbank partners with over 600 agencies—including food pantries, shelters, and schools—to provide access to nutritious food. Through innovative programs like our Food-on-the-Move mobile pantry, School Markets, rural community distributions, and grocery rescue, the Foodbank meets people where they are, ensuring support reaches those who need it most.

By addressing both immediate needs and the root causes of hunger, the St. Louis Area Foodbank is committed to creating a healthier, more food-secure future for the region.
