The St. Louis Small Business Empowerment Center (SBEC) exists to uplift all entrepreneurs, including minorities, women, and veterans, in their journeys to impactful business ownership. Entrepreneurs who work with SBEC have access to a wealth of small business knowledge, established financial relationships, and community connections.
SBEC partners with entrepreneurs to help them access capital, grow their capacity, and earn SBA certifications, among other services. Our relationships with the region’s top banks have helped hundreds of SMBs secure funding and SBA loans.
For entrepreneurs with ideas, plus the drive to turn them into successful businesses, we help them examine their financial approach and arm them with the expert insights that will give any business a head start. For example, entrepreneurs can access on-demand lessons tailored to business needs and tap into the wisdom of an SMB coach to mentor them through each stage of business growth.
Helping entrepreneurs overcome the challenges of starting businesses in underserved neighborhoods and urban “Main Street” business districts helps them create wealth within their communities.
