Perennial offers educational programs that teach people how to re-envision waste while giving them the skills they need to creatively turn discarded items into cherished possessions. We divert over 10,000 pounds of waste from the landfill every year, and in 2023 that number was 22,265 pounds!

Perennial is a creative reuse classroom and store in South St. Louis that includes a makers studio, a wood shop, and a treasure trove of salvaged materials. Perennial teaches creative reuse classes such as sewing, woodworking, glass + paper arts, leather working, and upholstery, just to name a few! You might learn how to transform broken glass into a mosaic, fabric scraps into beeswax wraps, food waste into natural dye materials and so much more. Perennial offers these educational programs to the public and partners with area social service agencies to bring DIY crafts to underserved populations. The shop sells salvaged materials, eco-friendly project supplies and DIY kits + tools designed and handcrafted from reclaimed materials by Perennial's staff.

Help us make sure our space is welcoming and accessible to all by donating to ensure we can update the our outdoor classroom with a gift to Perennial on Give STL Day!
