Some May Like it Hot, but Let's Keep it Cool!

While some may prefer it hot, I find true bliss in a cool movie-watching experience at my favorite local theater - the Hi-Pointe!

As streaming options multiply, I realize that the real magic of film lies in shared moments. That's why I deeply appreciate Cinema St. Louis (CSL) and its commitment to events like the St. Louis International Film Festival (SLIFF), which brings our community together. Acquiring the Hi-Pointe Theatre in 2022 was a game-changer for fostering this sense of togetherness. CSL is dedicated to transforming it into a vibrant storytelling hub, offering diverse programming at affordable prices, all while preserving the enchantment of cinema.

Since 1992, CSL has been enriching our lives with film festivals, competitions, master classes, and free programs for local students. Just last year, they finally found a forever home at this historic theater. 

Thanks to the generosity of donors during last year's Give StL Day, CSL reached new heights with the "Raise the Roof" campaign. However, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience requires upgrading the heating and cooling systems, too. I invite you to join me in supporting CSL's "Keep it Cool" campaign at the Hi-Pointe.

While my goal is only 5% of the total campaign goal, every dollar counts towards preserving the timeless allure of film programming in this beautiful and cool theater. Let's make sure future generations can enjoy the magic of cinema just as much as we do.
