With a sacred mission to help each child reach his or her full potential, Good Shepherd School for Children serves the youngest children with special needs with pediatric therapy and an inclusive early learning center. Good Shepherd is the only remaining childcare center in the St. L metro area with this focus. Children served can be ages 6 weeks until entry into kindergarten and special needs can range from spina bifida, autism, diabetes, epilepsy, speech delays, Down syndrome, brain damage and other developmental delays. Good Shepherd provides a highly educated teaching staff and a special needs coordinator, who supports families navigating the complexity of state and school district systems.
Founded in 1967, Good Shepherd is a local non-profit not connected to any other local, regional or national organization with a similar name. Good Shepherd has no religious affiliation, but serves all families.
