At Action St. Louis, we believe that justice begins with people's power. Every policy we fight for, every leader we train, and every community we mobilize brings us closer to a future where St. Louis is a place where every Black person can thrive. Our work spans three core areas:
Housing Justice: Fighting for policies that protect tenants, prevent evictions, and create stable, affordable housing for all.
Community Safety: Reimagining community safety and justice through non-carceral solutions that heal communities instead of harming them.
Electoral Justice: Mobilizing voters and ensuring that historically disenfranchised communities have a voice in shaping our democracy.
Nate, a proud graduate of our BOSS (Black Organizing Summer School) program, found his voice and leadership through our intense fellowship program. This year, Nate took on a pivotal role, leading a community partner's electoral campaign. His efforts not only mobilized voters but also inspired others to join the fight for justice, proving the transformative power of grassroots leadership. Nate's journey is a testament to what's possible when we invest in our community and build power from the ground up!
