Why This Campaign Matters

In 2024, we achieved significant milestones that reflect the strength and resilience of our collective work:

1. Hosted a historic non-bias, competitive candidate forum in State Senate District 15 in St. Louis County after 40 years. 
2. Securing a Memorandum of Understanding with the St. Louis County Juvenile Courts to provide essential wraparound services for youth
3. Witnessed transformative grassroots-led community victories, such as ensuring paid sick leave and raising the minimum wage for all Missourians with the passing of Prop A in 2024

These achievements remind us of the power of bold action and partnership. But as we look to the future, we know the climb ahead will require even more. Challenges to our communities, rights, and democracy demand bold action, innovation, resilience, strong collaboration, and powerful leadership. Like Elijah’s journey to the broom tree, a tree of rest, renewal and hope, he yearned for refuge before his climb to Mount Horeb (1 Kings 19:4-8), we recognize the importance of healing and preparation before the next ascent. Mount Horeb’s thinner air represents the challenges that test us, but it also strengthens us to adapt and thrive. We, too, are called to rise above the valleys and elevate our work to new heights.
